Equipment Line of Credit
A funding limit for planned purchases.
An approved equipment finance limit may help eligible businesses plan several work vehicle purchases over time. It can suit adding vans as contracts grow, replacing utes in stages or preparing for a fleet upgrade.
Each purchase remains subject to the facility conditions, accepted assets and available limit. Your broker can explain what checks apply before each drawdown.
Understand the facility first.
- Check the approved amount and expiry or review date
- Confirm eligible vehicles, age limits and supplier requirements
- Compare repayments, fees and security for each purchase
- Ask whether repayments restore the available limit
An equipment limit is intended for eligible assets, not automatically available as cash for wages or tax debts. Approval and terms depend on the lender and business.
The vehicle that helps you get things done.
Whether you are replacing your daily work ute or buying another vehicle for your business, we start with how you work, what you need and what you can comfortably commit to.
Finance is subject to lender assessment and approval. Rates, fees and terms vary.
Useful information to get started
- Vehicle details and approximate purchase price
- Your business structure and time trading
- Income or financial documents requested by the lender
- Your purchase timing and any deposit or trade-in
You do not need to have every document ready to make an enquiry. Your broker will explain what is required and how to provide documents securely.

Low doc or full doc.
Let’s explore your options.
Your broker can discuss the documentation pathway available for your business, purchase and lender.
An alternative documentation pathway.
Some lenders offer low-doc business asset finance for eligible applicants, with fewer financial documents than their standard full-doc process.
- Requirements vary with the lender and finance amount.
- Trading history, credit profile and the asset still matter.
- Supporting information may still be requested.
A fuller picture of your business.
Full-doc finance uses supporting financial information to help the lender assess your business and ability to repay.
- Documents may include financial statements, tax returns or bank statements.
- Your broker explains the lender’s requirements.
- Available terms depend on the lender’s assessment.
Planning your purchase? Read our self-employed ute and van buying guide and our low-doc versus full-doc finance guide.
Low doc does not mean no assessment or guaranteed approval. Eligibility, documents, rates, fees and terms depend on the lender and your circumstances.
Find the vehicle.
Get the right support.
You do not have to navigate the buying process alone. HFG can assist through our network of dealerships and industry contacts, helping you explore vehicles that suit your needs, budget and timing.
Talk before you shop
Tell us what you need, your budget and how the vehicle will be used. We can discuss finance pathways and what the lender may need before you commit.
Tap into our network
Still looking? Ask us about introductions through our dealer network. Already found a vehicle? Share the listing so we can discuss the asset and seller requirements.
Buy with a clearer plan
We help coordinate the finance steps and explain what is still required before settlement, so you can plan your purchase and handover with the seller.
Before you pay a deposit, give us a call.
A deposit or signed purchase contract can commit you before finance is approved. Speak with your broker first, confirm any finance condition and understand the seller’s deposit and refund terms in writing. An initial discussion or conditional approval is not final approval.
Vehicle availability, pricing and finance approval are not guaranteed. Any buying assistance costs or referral arrangements will be explained where applicable.

Ute & Work Vehicle Finance:
your questions, answered.
Can I apply if I am self-employed?
Yes. We help self-employed buyers explore work vehicle finance. Your broker will explain the information needed for your circumstances and the lender’s assessment.
Can we discuss a chattel mortgage?
Yes. Your broker can discuss chattel mortgage options for business-use assets. Speak with your accountant about the tax treatment for your business.
Do I need to find the vehicle first?
You can start a conversation before choosing a vehicle. An approximate budget and a sense of your intended business use will help us discuss the next steps.
Are low-doc and full-doc options available?
We can discuss both pathways for business asset finance. Availability depends on the lender, asset and your circumstances. Low doc still requires assessment and may involve supporting information.
Does HFG charge a broker fee?
A broker or origination fee may apply. Your broker will explain any fee, when it is payable and whether it will be paid separately or included in the loan, before you decide to proceed. If a fee is financed, it increases the amount borrowed and may increase the interest you pay. Ask us for the applicable Credit Guide and written fee quote.
What other loan costs should I check?
Look beyond the advertised interest rate. Depending on the lender and product, costs may include establishment, account, security registration and early repayment fees. Compare the total amount repayable, loan term and any balloon payment. For consumer loans, the comparison rate can help compare interest and certain fees, but it does not cover every cost or circumstance.
Does making an enquiry affect my credit score?
Sending our website enquiry form starts a conversation; it is not a formal loan application. A lender credit check during an application may be recorded on your credit report and can affect your score. Before proceeding, ask your broker what check is proposed, whether it leaves an enquiry and what consent is required.
Should I apply to several lenders at once?
Multiple credit applications in a short period can affect your credit profile and how a lender assesses you. Talk through your circumstances with a broker first, rather than submitting applications just to find out the rate. Comparing possible options and making formal applications are different steps.
How is HFG paid by lenders?
HFG may receive a commission from the lender when a loan settles. The amount can vary by lender and loan. Your broker can explain the commission, any referral payments and any fee payable by you in the relevant disclosure documents. You are welcome to ask how these amounts are worked out.
Can HFG help me find a vehicle?
Yes. Ask about our dealership and industry network. We can assist with the buying process as well as finance, whether you are still exploring vehicles or have already found one. Explore vehicle buying assistance.
Should I pay a deposit before arranging finance?
Speak with your broker before paying a deposit or signing a purchase contract. Understand whether the purchase is subject to finance and get the deposit and refund conditions in writing from the seller. Finance approval depends on the lender, your circumstances and the vehicle.
